Player Spotlights
Advanced
Junior Advanced Player of the Month goes to Aphrah, aka “KITTY”. Aphrah has been playing tennis since she was nine years old.Throughout her experience she has continued to dedicate herself to reaching her goal of playing at the college level one day.She has worked her way up to being a role model for both girls in the program as well as all levels of junior players.Aphrah sets the bar very high for herself, when it comes to commitment to her game. She continues to dedicate herself outside of tennis lessons in areas such as tournament play, fitness, and mentoring. One of Aphrah’s strengths is her strong mental toughness. Her behavior on the court is second to none when it comes to the values of Passion Programs. Some of the most recent comments her mother has received from parents at tournaments were that they can not tell, when she comes off the court, whether she has lost or won.Another compliment Aphrah has received is that she is one of the most improved players on the tournament circuit.I think we can all agree that staying as focused as Aphrah pays off. _____________ Strokers
Junior Strokers Player of the Month goes to Laura, aka “REPLAY”.
Laura is one of our newest players to Team Passion. She adds Passion to our lessons on a daily basis with her sense of humor, friendliness, and bringing new ideas and energy!Laura’s ability to be a first instruction learner has earned her the demonstration role of having some of the best technique in the program. She has stepped up to the plate and taken on numerous leadership roles such as typing up Anna’s workouts to share with her teammates.Another leadership role is that she is always coming up with new ideas to make lessons more fun, such as water balloons on Easter. One of the best things we love about Laura is how other students in the program enjoy her personality and smile. She has formed a great bond between all the girls in the program, both young and old.
